About Us

Better Earth International Film Festival is a monthly live screening film festival with a yearly live screening mega event in the Cultural Capital of India scheduled for the monthly live screenings to take place at the end of each month at Kutchina Foundation at Kolkata City of Joy. The jury board of BEIFF will select more than 50 films on different categories that are officially selected and out of them at least one per category is awarded every month. Monthly winner films are automatically qualified for the Annual screening and nominated for the prestigious BETTER EARTH AWARD. The annual event will be a glamorous red-carpet premiere with press conferences and gala parties at Kolkata in the presence of international movie celebrities. Mission: BEIFF is a Progressive Film Movement to create a Space for upcoming filmmakers and celebration of cross-culture through international films.

Rules & Terms

Please read these Rules & Terms carefully before you submit your film :

  1. The monthly winners will be honoured with winning certificate and laurel. The annual winners will be honoured with winning certificate and laurel & prestigious BETTER EARTH AWARD trophy.
  2. Film must be subtitled in English if language is other than English.
  3. Year of production & accepted movie duration
  4. The decision of the Jury will be final and can’t be challenged. • Entry submission as per rules & regulations.• Delegate registration to attend BEIFF at KOLKATA the city of Joy. All filmmakers must have registered as delegate to attend the festival. Hospitality charges are applicable for filmmakers & attendees, which include lunch, tea/coffee with cookies & master classes. • Festival movies screening & workshops followed by award ceremony in Kolkata.
  5. BEIFF does not take any type financial commitment for the expense incurred on the correspondence by the participant. All Travel, Lodging & Boarding and other miscellaneous expenses will have to be borne by the participant himself for attending the festival. No request for the same will be entertained.
  6. Once the film submitted can’t be withdrawn in any circumstances, however festival director reserve the rights to disqualify any film on certain grounds.
  7. By submitting movie to BEIFF, filmmaker/producer takes the whole responsibility of copyright issues of music, script and other creative and technical aspects of film.
